Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has stirred controversy after stating that oral sex is not a sin when practiced within marriage.
Suleman made the remark during a question-and-answer session at a church programme when a member asked whether the Bible condemns oral sex.
“Oral sex is not a sin if it is between a husband and wife,” he said, adding that marital intimacy is not restricted by religious prohibitions as long as it remains within the bounds of marriage.
The comment has divided opinion among Christians. While some welcomed it as a candid and modern interpretation of marital intimacy, others criticised it as inconsistent with biblical teachings on sexual purity.
The debate highlights ongoing divisions within Nigeria’s religious community on how faith leaders should address sensitive issues of sexuality, as worshippers increasingly demand clearer guidance on what is permissible in marriage.
