The Federal High Court in Lagos has granted the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) an interim forfeiture order on Proxy Nightclub, owned by popular entertainer Mike Nwalie, also known as Pretty Mike.
Justice Musa Kakaki issued the order, suspending operations at the nightclub located in Victoria Island until January 28, 2026, when the case will be heard.
The ruling followed an NDLEA raid on October 26, during which officers reportedly recovered 169 canisters of nitrous oxide, 200 grams of cannabis, and arrested more than 200 partygoers.
According to the NDLEA, the operation was carried out following intelligence reports about a drug-themed party at the club. The agency said its operatives infiltrated the venue and shut it down in the early hours to prevent further illegal activities.
The court’s decision represents a major step in the NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to curb drug use and trafficking in entertainment spots across the country.
Proxy Nightclub will remain closed until the conclusion of the forfeiture proceedings early next year.
