Bandits have struck again in Kogi State, attacking Jege community in Yagba East Local Government Area and kidnapping an unconfirmed number of residents. The attack, which occurred on Monday night, December 15, 2025, has left the community in a state of fear and tension.
According to local sources, the assailants stormed the community under the cover of darkness, abducting residents and leaving many more in a state of panic. This latest incident has deepened concerns over growing insecurity in the area, with residents calling for increased patrols and urgent intervention to prevent further attacks.
The attack comes on the heels of another incident where the elder brother of the Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area, Mr. Tosin Oluokun, was kidnapped while working on his farm.
Additionally, over 20 worshippers were abducted on Sunday after gunmen attacked the First ECWA Church in Ayetoro Kiri, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
