Super Eagles Camp Swells to 24 Ahead of Egypt Friendly

The Super Eagles camp in Cairo has grown to 24 players with the arrival of Blackburn Rovers defender Ryan Alebiosu, new invitee Salim Fago, and Chidozie Awaziem ahead of Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) international friendly match against Egypt. The team has been joined by Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman and defenders Semi Ajayi and Bright Osayi-Samuel, among others. ¹

The squad’s first training session on Monday evening saw 20 players participate, with Super Eagles Media Officer Promise Efoghe praising the team’s energy and commitment. The team will face Egypt in a friendly match on Tuesday at the Cairo International Stadium, aiming to assess their readiness for the AFCON challenge.
