Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, a former Minister of Sports and Youth Development and now the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Kwara Central Senatorial Candidate in the 2023 General Elections, has stated that the elections must provide an opportunity for the country’s teeming voters to change the narratives of poor leadership in the country.

Abdulahi, affectionately known as “Omoluabi” by his legions of supporters in Ilorin, Kwara State’s capital, made the remark yesterday during a political debate hosted by the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

He stated that the current leadership in the country has broken the fabric of the people due to their alleged insensitivity to the plight of the people.

He stated that poor management of the country’s economy, among other things, has caused untold hardship for many people and disaffection among many families in the country.

According to Abdullahi, the next elections will provide an opportunity to reset the nation’s growth by rejecting politicians who have caused untold hardship to the populace and electing people with good capacity and capability to move the country forward.

If elected, his agenda in the national assembly will be to provide quality representation that will transform the lives of the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District into economic prosperity.

He stated that his big ideas for leadership would go a long way toward initiating laws that would add more value to people’s lives.

Because of the current challenges in the area, the PDPs believe that youth in the district should be encouraged to pursue science courses in order to boost economic development.
