Victor Ngumah, a Nigerian businessman and politician, has praised the fervor and commitment of young people in Nigeria’s political development, particularly as the country prepares for a key election in 2023.

Hon. Ngumah, CEO of Lumen Media International, a prominent corporation with interests in media, branding, and events, stated that the involvement of youths in politics is critical to injecting new ideas, productivity, and creativity into the Nigerian leadership process.

There is a growing support base for Presidential Candidates among the youth population, who have recently taken to the streets of major cities to stage solidarity rallies for some of the prominent contenders.

Victor Ngumah, an Imo State native, ran for the Ezinihitte Mbaise state constituency in the Imo state house of assembly on 2019.

In an interview with Newsmen over the weekend, he stated that the multiple talents possessed by Nigerian millennials will be a significant asset in the quest to replace the old generation, who are thought to have done insufficient to advance the country’s growth.

Other events to boost youth participation in Nigerian politics have also occurred recently, including the Nigeria Youth Decide Conference, which took place on October 1 in Abuja.

It featured various presidential contenders in attendance, and participants, mostly young people, interacted with them and informed them what the young people expected from them.
