Arsenal have confirmed that promising youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly has signed a new five-year contract with the club. The 18-year-old extended his stay at the Emirates after an impressive breakthrough season with the senior team.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Lewis-Skelly expressed his excitement:
“I’m so proud and happy. Those might sound like simple words, but they truly capture how I feel about signing for this club. I’m a lifelong fan — this is a dream come true.”
He continued:
“I’ve grown up at Hale End and embraced its values. I know I’ve got many years ahead of me, and my focus is on staying humble and being the best person and player I can be.”
Lewis-Skelly made his first-team debut in December and quickly cemented his place as Mikel Arteta’s preferred option at left-back. He featured 39 times across all competitions, including 23 Premier League appearances.
His rapid rise was further highlighted in March when he earned a first senior call-up for England. He made an immediate impact, becoming the youngest player to score on debut with a goal in a 2-0 victory over Albania at Wembley.
Reflecting on his journey so far, Lewis-Skelly said:
“I’ve learned so much from the games — the highs, the mistakes, all of it. I feel more prepared for the upcoming season and just want to keep improving.”
Looking ahead, the teenager has big ambitions:
“I want to build a legacy. I want to win everything — to lift trophies on the biggest stages, but also remain grounded and hungry to learn. That’s what matters most to me.”
