Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has reaffirmed his commitment to the Labour Party, distancing himself from any political coalition or meetings involving such groups.

Speaking during an interactive session with members of the Abia State Global Economic Council in Umuahia, Otti said he remains focused on delivering on the mandate given to him by the people of Abia and is not considering leaving the party.

Reacting to reports of internal issues within the Labour Party, the governor acknowledged that the party experienced challenges but noted that they fought through the legal system, up to the Supreme Court, to reclaim it.

“I am not part of any coalition and have not attended any such meetings. I am focused on working for Abia people,” he stated.
