Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has been elected as the National Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), following the successful conclusion of the AGN National Elections held in Benin City, Edo State.
Speaking through a press statement released by her media office on December 8, 2025, Amusa described her election as a recognition of her dedication, leadership, and commitment to the growth of the guild. “This achievement reflects the trust and confidence reposed in me by members of the guild. I am committed to bringing renewed strength, transparency, innovation, and impactful service to the Secretariat,” the statement read.
Dayo Amusa, known for her roles in numerous Nollywood films including the popular Yoruba movie Dewunmi Iberu, affirmed her intention to use her new position to advance the interests of Nigerian actors and promote the movie industry’s contribution to national development.
In addition to her new role, Amusa serves as Vice President of the Ijebu Pride Network, an initiative celebrating the cultural heritage of Ijebuland and Remoland in Ogun State. Founded by Bashorun Femi Branch, the network brings together prominent entertainment personalities from the region.
Widely respected for her talent and mentorship of upcoming actors, Dayo Amusa continues to be a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, now stepping into a leadership role that promises to strengthen the guild’s operations and influence.
