Victor Osimhen continued his sensational form by firing Galatasaray into the Turkish Cup final, netting his 30th goal of the season in a commanding 5-1 semi-final victory over Konyaspor on Tuesday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The Nigerian star opened the scoring in the 26th minute, rising high to meet a brilliant cross from former Napoli teammate Dries Mertens and powering a header past the Konyaspor goalkeeper.

Osimhen’s goal further highlights his incredible impact this season, where he has now tallied 30 goals and six assists across all competitions for the Istanbul giants.

Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira doubled Galatasaray’s lead just before halftime, putting Okan Buruk’s side firmly in control at the Konya Buyuksehir Arena.

In the second half, Robert Sallai struck twice, either side of a consolation goal from Konyaspor’s Pedrinho, as Galatasaray sealed a dominant 4-1 win. Osimhen was substituted in the 73rd minute for Yusuf Demir, who later added a fifth goal in stoppage time to complete the rout.

Osimhen had also played a decisive role in the quarter-finals, scoring twice to knock out Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in a thrilling 2-1 win at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium earlier this month.

Despite finishing second behind Konyaspor in Group C during the competition’s group stage—where they picked up five points from three matches—Galatasaray showcased their superiority when it mattered most in the knockout rounds.

This latest victory keeps Galatasaray firmly on track for a domestic double, as they currently lead the Turkish Super Lig by five points with six games remaining. They are aiming for their first Turkish Cup triumph since the 2016/17 season.

On loan from Napoli, Osimhen has been electric throughout the campaign, scoring 21 goals in the Super Lig, six in the Europa League, and three in the Turkish Cup. Though he is expected to leave Galatasaray this summer, the Nigerian striker remains determined to help the club clinch both the league and cup titles before his departure.
