Paris Saint-Germain have secured their record-extending 13th Ligue 1 title—and their fourth in a row—following a 1-0 win over Angers on Saturday.
The result sees PSG crowned champions with six games to spare in what has been a commanding and historic season.
The reigning champions have been in imperious form throughout the campaign, going unbeaten in 28 matches with 23 wins and five draws. With the title wrapped up in early April, PSG continue their pursuit of an invincible league season.
Club captain Marquinhos, who has been with PSG since 2013, made history by becoming the first player ever to win 10 Ligue 1 titles. “It’s crazy, I’m really happy,” he told beIN Sports. “Staying with a top team for so long is a real challenge. These titles will go down in history. Our ambition is to win everything.”
Under Luis Enrique, PSG have redefined their identity, moving away from a reliance on superstar names like Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe. Instead, they’ve built a cohesive and exciting squad featuring emerging talents and homegrown French players.
Standouts this season include Vitinha, Bradley Barcola, and rising star Desire Doue, while Ousmane Dembélé has delivered a career-best year. The French winger has netted 32 goals and added seven assists across all competitions, playing a key role in PSG’s title win and their progression to the Champions League quarter-finals.
With the Ligue 1 title secured, PSG now set their sights on an historic treble.
They face Premier League side Aston Villa in the Champions League quarter-finals on April 9th and 15th, before battling Reims in the Coupe de France final on May 24th.
