Trent Alexander-Arnold has confirmed he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, marking the end of a 20-year journey with his boyhood club. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, the right-back revealed that he’s seeking a “new challenge,” with reports suggesting a move to Real Madrid on a free transfer.

“This has been the toughest decision of my life,” Alexander-Arnold said. “After two decades at Liverpool Football Club, it’s time for me to move on.”

A product of Liverpool’s academy, Alexander-Arnold rose through the ranks to become a key figure in the squad alongside Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. While Salah and Van Dijk have recently extended their contracts, Alexander-Arnold has opted for a new chapter.

“I know many have wondered why I hadn’t addressed the speculation,” he continued. “But my priority was always the team and helping us chase title number 20.”
