Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNP), on Sunday claimed that security vote was used to siphon money and perpetuate corruption in government.
He stated that if he is elected president, his government will not accept a cent as a security vote.
The NNPP presidential candidate addressed numerous concerns yesterday during a Channels Television Town Hall session.
He stated that while he was governor of Kano, he did not accept a cent as a security vote, and that those who steal public cash under the pretext of a security vote were robbing the people.
