Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and his chairman, Iyorcha Ayu, have arrived in Edo State to begin his presidential campaign ahead of the 2023 general election.
Atiku and members of the PDP presidential campaign council landed at Benin City Airport.
He was greeted at the airport by Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy governor, Philip Shuaibu, as well as key lawmakers, PDP officials, and state members.
When he arrived, jubilant supporters, including women and youth organizations, rolled out drums to welcome him and sang his name in solidarity.
