Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has made it clear that any player who is unhappy at the club is free to leave.
It’s been a busy transfer window at Stamford Bridge, with new arrivals including Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr, and most recently, Jamie Gittens.
Promising Brazilian talent Estevão Willian is also set to join ahead of the new season.
Several established players, such as Raheem Sterling, Joao Felix, Axel Disasi, and Ben Chilwell—none of whom are currently with the squad at the Club World Cup—are rumored to be on their way out.
Speculation also surrounds the futures of Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku, and Nicolas Jackson, who are currently part of the U.S. tour.
Speaking on the situation, Maresca said:
“My message to the players and the club is simple: I only want players who are happy to be here. Anyone who isn’t is free to go.”
