The Nigeria National League (NNL) has officially expelled Lagos-based club 1472 FC from the ongoing 2024/2025 season due to the team’s failure to honor three scheduled fixtures.
The affected matches were against Abia Comets (Matchday 9), Dakkada FC (Matchday 53), and Ijele FC (Matchday 74).
Citing Article 14.11 of the league’s regulations, the NNL enforced the expulsion and imposed a fine of ₦5 million on 1472 FC.
The decision, conveyed in a letter signed by NNL Chief Operating Officer Danlami Alanana, also declares all results involving the club null and void, while all remaining unplayed matches have been officially cancelled.
