Mohamed Salah has put an end to ongoing speculation surrounding his future by signing a new contract with Liverpool, extending his stay at Anfield until 2027.
Previously set to become a free agent at the end of the current season, the Egyptian forward has now reaffirmed his commitment to the club in what comes as a massive boost for the Reds as they chase their 20th top-flight title.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Salah expressed his delight:
“Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team now—just as we did before. I’ve signed because I believe we can continue winning trophies and I’m enjoying my football here. These have been the best years of my career, and I hope to make it ten years at this club. I’m very happy and grateful for the support from the fans. Let’s keep going and win more together.”

Since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, Salah has consistently delivered at the highest level. This season alone, he has contributed 27 goals and 17 assists in the Premier League, playing a pivotal role in securing the team’s 11-point lead at the top of the table.
At 32, Salah is enjoying the most productive campaign of his career, with his overall tally for Liverpool now standing at a phenomenal 243 goals and 109 assists in 393 appearances.
His decorated spell at Anfield includes winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup—cementing his legacy as one of the club’s all-time greats.
Salah was one of three key players with contracts expiring this summer, alongside defenders Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. While Van Dijk has recently shared that negotiations are progressing, Alexander-Arnold’s future remains uncertain amid strong interest from Real Madrid.
