Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta says he is disappointed with the result of the first leg of the champions league semi final against PSG.

The gunners manager spoke after the his team, without Thomas Partey in the middle, lost 0-1 to the French champions on Tuesday night

He said, “I’m disappointed with the result. The team gave everything—we invested a lot into the game. We struggled to find rhythm and assert control during the first 10 to 15 minutes, and it’s frustrating not to come away with at least a draw.”

On PSG’s Goal:
“That’s the kind of danger they pose. Credit to them—they managed to escape a tight situation. We had seven players behind the ball, but they were clinical. Sometimes, you have to acknowledge the brilliance of individual talent.”

On Disallowed Goal and Missed Opportunities:
“It came down to the finest margins—just millimetres offside. Martinelli’s one-on-one was a moment we’ve seen him finish before, and Trossard also had a clear chance, but Donnarumma made a crucial save. These are the small details that define matches at this level.”

On the Absence of Thomas Partey:
“Declan [Rice] and Mikel [Merino] were immense in midfield. Of course, Thomas offers a different dimension—his presence gives us flexibility and another way to approach the game.”

On a Possibility Of a Comeback:

“we have to go to Paris to win the game, if u have to be at the champions league final, u have to be extraordinary”

Asked if its 50/50, for arsenal to be at the final, “I don’t know the percentage, but I know we have what it takes to be at the final”

“You can not absolutely dominate PSG in a game, we’ve seen them against English teams this season, but we can create our chances and make history”

Aresnal will next week take on PSG at their 48,000-capacity Parc des Princes stadium in Paris
