Leeds United are reportedly weighing up the possibility of parting ways with manager Daniel Farke, despite the German coach having just guided the club back to the Premier League.

According to MailOnline, the Elland Road hierarchy harbor doubts about Farke’s ability to keep the club in the top flight next season. While promotion is a significant achievement, club executives are reportedly unconvinced that Farke is the right man to avoid relegation and establish Leeds as a stable Premier League side.

Farke’s impressive 6-0 win over Stoke City capped a dominant campaign and confirmed Leeds’ return to the Premier League. However, his past struggles at the top level remain a concern. During his time in charge of Norwich City, he won only six of his 49 Premier League matches—an underwhelming record that raises questions about his capability in England’s top tier.

Since arriving at Leeds in 2023, Farke has delivered results, winning 59 out of 102 matches, and with the club on the brink of a 100-point season, it would seem a harsh decision to let him go. Still, his previous Premier League campaign with Norwich ended in relegation and his eventual dismissal during the 2019/20 season after finishing bottom with just 21 points.

Leeds’ ownership is likely mindful of recent history, particularly last season when all three promoted clubs were relegated—a scenario not seen since 1998. Determined not to repeat the mistakes made by Leicester City, Southampton, and Ipswich Town, the board may be contemplating a change in leadership to ensure Premier League survival.
