‎Kwara United have made history by securing a place in the final of the President Federation Cup for the first time in nearly five decades, following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Rangers International on Wednesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

‎Wasiu Alalade proved to be the match-winner, striking the decisive goal in the 48th minute, just moments after the second half kicked off.

‎The Harmony Boys had several chances to take the lead in the first half, with Yahaya Ibrahim and Alalade both going close, but couldn’t find the breakthrough until after the interval.

‎Rangers mounted intense pressure in the final moments, but Kwara’s goalkeeper, Suraj Ayeleso, pulled off a series of vital saves to preserve the narrow lead and secure the win.

‎An emotional Head Coach Tunde Sanni praised his team’s determination and pledged full commitment ahead of the final clash against Abakaliki FC.

‎“It’s been a long journey to get here, and we’ve worked tirelessly for this moment. We won’t take anything for granted in the final,” Sanni said.
