Sneak peek of what to expect from the Jubilee pageant – including eight decorated buses
Some 10,000 people will be involved in a 3km carnival procession through London later today and our correspondent Ashna Hurynag has been getting a sneak peek of what we can expect.
The pageant will be divided into four acts: For Queen And Country, The Time Of Our Lives, Let’s Celebrate, and Happy And Glorious.
A total of eight buses, each decorated to represent a different decade of the Queen’s reign, are set to take part in the second act, which is set to be a “vibrant display of British life since 1972”.
Richard, who will be driving the 1950s style bus, said: “It takes 81 hours just to wrap one bus, so you can see there has been a lot of work done.
“It is just fantastic to be here, such an honour, and we are so pleased that we have the opportunity.”
