Manny Monie, an artist signed to Portable’s record label, has provided his side of the story.
Earlier on Friday, November 18, Portable posted a video of himself assaulting Manny Monie for being ungrateful, revealing that the signee attempted to defraud him by using two music distributors without his knowledge.
Portable, who claimed to have promoted and sponsored the signee, accused him of being a con artist.
Manny Monie stated that he did not do anything to the singer prior to the assault. He went on to say that his phone was sized by portable in order to keep him from telling the world the truth. While speaking in pidgin english, he said,
“I no know wetin I do am, he just dey tell me sey I dey ungrateful. My brother bought me studio set. I was the one that own the studio (set) that Portable is using. He said he had a dream that some people wants to kill him that we should give him space and I said that I should carry my studio (set) to use till he call us back and he refused that he wants to use the studio (set) to replace the help he did for me. He seized my phone since morning.”
