A construction company, Bodmans International Technical Construction Nigeria Limited, has filed a lawsuit against the chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government in an Ikeja Lagos High Court over the termination of a contract for the construction of Araromi market.
According to the claimant, officials of the first defendant obstructed the execution the contract entered into by the local government authorities.
Ifako-Ijaiye LGC and Alhaji Uthman Hamzat have also been named as defendants in the litigation.
The claimant stated in its statement of claim, through its counsel, Owolabi Dawodu, that they attempted to resolve the case out of court with the defendants, but to no avail.
The construction company alleged that the first defendant violated the provisions of the contract and its addendum.
