Two women in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State’s capital, who were displaced by the flood and are now residing in an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Agbura, Yenagoa Local Government Area, have given birth.

Mrs Izougo, 24, gave birth to a newborn boy two days ago, while Mrs Mercy Emeka, 32, gave birth to her fourth child yesterday.

The two ladies, who are from Ebonyi State, are now finding sanctuary with their families on a land owned by Mr. Victor Isaiah, the immediate former Chairman of Brass Local Government Area, and designated as an IDP camp.

Nengi James, Second Vice President of the Ijaw National Congress, INC, and Founder of the Nengi James Foundation, who visited the IDP families to offer relief items and cash, hailed the newborns as extraordinary and unusual blessings to their family.
