The nomination of a new Postmaster General/Chief Executive Officer (PMG) for the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has been authorized by President Muhammadu Buhari.
This follows the proposals provided by Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy (Pantami).
Hon. Adepoju Adeyemi Sunday, the new Postmaster General of NIPOST, has been appointed for a five-year tenure.
Hon. Adepoju is a professional accountant and a former member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency from 2011 to 2015 and 2015 to 2019.
The appointment of Hon. Adepoju as the new PMG of NIPOST is effective immediately, according to a statement issued by the Minister’s spokeswoman, Uwa Suleiman.
NIPOST is a federal body overseen by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
Recall that the Minister authorized the appointment of Barrister Bulus Samuila Yakubu as acting Post Master General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of NIPOST on September 22 following the suspension of Dr. Ismail Adebayo Adewusi.
