The Nasarawa State chapter of the Labour Party, LP, has stated that it will not accept the suspended State Chairman of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, Bishop Namo, into its fold following a recent corruption allegation leveled against him.
The suspended Chairman is accused of allegedly receiving a bribe given by a politician to illegally substitute the name of John Mark, the party’s candidate for the Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency, in the upcoming general election.
Namo recently declared his support for the Labour Party on September 21, claiming that he had been accepted into the party.
However, the Nasarawa State chairman of the LP, Alexander Emmanuel, maintained on Sunday, September 25, that Namo would not be admitted to the party until he is found not guilty of the allegations leveled against him in his previous party, the YPP.
