Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti, better known as Seun Kuti, a Nigerian Afrobeat singer, has spoken out about gambling and how it destroys the African system.
He explained that he would prefer young people to engage in cybercrime, aka Yahoo Yahoo, rather than gambling because, in his opinion, gambling is a white man’s business that has already been rigged in order to steal the little Africa has through false hopes.
According to him, Westerners have created a mindset of obsession with materialism in the minds of Africans, which has become a vice, but he believes that gambling is a far worse societal vice.
