Well, we heard from quite a few witnesses today – in fact a whacking 12 in total!
We listened to evidence from Bruce Witkin, Johnny Depp’s former close friend and bandmate; Tracey Jacobs, Depp’s former talent agent; Joel Mandel, Depp’s ex business manager; Adam Waldman, Depp’s attorney; Maria Sadanaga, LAPD detective and domestic violence co-ordinator; Ron Schnell, social media forensic expert; Michelle Mulroney, Amber Heard’s former attorney; Tina Newman, Disney production executive; Ellen Barkin, Depp’s former girlfriend; Alan Blaustein, Depp’s former psychologist; Eric George, the attorney who advised Heard over her Washington Post op-ed and Jessica Kovacevic, Heard’s former talent agent.
Lots and lots of evidence, lots of questioning and cross-examination, and of course many points Depp and Heard’s teams continue to disagree on.
Next week is the sixth and final week of the case, and no doubt there will be more compelling testimony and revealing evidence to come.
We’ll be covering the case right through to the closing arguments, and will bring you the judgment as soon as we get it – as it is a jury case, we will not know how long that will be, and much will depend on how quickly the jury can come to an agreement.
