The Lagos State Government ordered a coroner’s investigation into the death of late Bimbo Ogbonna, who purportedly died recently as a result of serious fire injuries sustained during domestic violence.
Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN, Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, issued the directive yesterday, stating that a comprehensive inquiry will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
The family of late Bimbo Ogbonna, wife of Lagos car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, alias IVD, who died on Saturday as a result of injuries received in a fire at their house, has demanded justice for her untimely death.
The mother of five was allegedly murdered by her husband in a well-documented incident of domestic violence, according to the family.
However, Onigbanjo reassured the public that everything possible will be done to determine the cause of death.
