China’s embassy in Israel has announced plans to evacuate its citizens to Egypt in response to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. The evacuation is scheduled to begin on Friday and will be carried out in phases, the embassy said in a statement issued on Thursday.
According to the notice, Chinese nationals will be transported by bus from Tel Aviv to the Taba Border Crossing, a journey of roughly 360 kilometres. The operation is being coordinated as a precaution due to growing violence and instability in the region.
“The Israel-Iran conflict continues to intensify, with increasing casualties,” the embassy stated. “The possibility of further deterioration cannot be ruled out.”
China’s decision reflects growing international concern over the worsening security situation in Israel. Several other countries have issued travel advisories and begun planning evacuations for their nationals.
The move underscores the urgency with which governments are responding to the volatile conditions, as the conflict between Israel and Iran shows no immediate signs of de-escalation.
