Mubarak Muhammad and Nazifi Bala were arraigned on Wednesday, November 2nd, before Kano Magistrate Court 58 Noman’s Land Kano, for alleged defamation of character against Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
According to First Information Report, the pair stated in a Facebook video that the governor did not see land without selling it and that he slept a lot.
The defendants pleaded guilty to the content of the First Information Report after hearing it read aloud to them.
The Prosecutor, Ahmad Wada, Principal State Counsel, Kano State Ministry of Justice, requested that the two defendants be tried in summary.
The court found them guilty as charged and scheduled their sentencing for November 7, 2022.
