Cardi B, an American rapper, has announced plans for her wedding ceremony, five years after officially marrying her colleague, Offset.
The couple secretly got married on September 20, 2017, and after much public speculation, Cardi B confirmed the rumor in June 2018.
She posted a photo of the secret event, where she was dressed in a white tracksuit while holding her husband’s hand, on the occasion of their one-year wedding anniversary.
She recently disclosed her preparations for a wedding ceremony as the couple’s union celebrated its fifth anniversary on Monday.
“5 years married, its time for my wedding,” she wrote via her Twitter account on Monday.
Although they are undoubtedly one of the most romantic couples in Hollywood, their relationship has faced many difficulties.
Just months after their wedding in 2017, Offset’s infidelity became public. The couple split up in December 2018, but reconciled in January 2019 after Offset made public pleas.
Cardi B had also filed for a divorce in September 2020. She dispelled rumors of Offset cheating once more, explaining that they were simply no longer “seeing things eye to eye.” However, the couple reconciled again in November of the same year.
Offset and Cardi are parents to two kids, Kulture, 4 and Wave, 1.
