Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium in London has been officially confirmed as the host venue for the 2025 Unity Cup — an Afro-Caribbean invitational tournament that promises thrilling action and cultural celebration.
Set to feature national teams from Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago, the competition will see these footballing giants go head-to-head for regional bragging rights.
The tournament kicks off on May 27 with a clash between Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago in the first semi-final. The following day, long-time rivals Ghana and Nigeria will reignite their historic football feud in the second semi-final.
The two losing teams will compete in a third-place playoff on May 31, with the final also scheduled for later that day.
First launched in 2002 with the iconic ‘NiJam’ showdown between Nigeria and Jamaica, the Unity Cup has grown into a powerful symbol of cultural unity and pride. This year marks the tournament’s third edition — and the first time it will feature four teams, making it a landmark moment in its history.
More than just a contest, the Unity Cup offers crucial match preparation for all participating nations ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers later this year.
