Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has suffered what appears to be a potentially long-term injury during their FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday evening.
The 22-year-old German international was stretchered off the pitch after a heavy collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The incident, which left Musiala’s foot visibly twisted, brought Donnarumma to tears as he witnessed the extent of the damage.
The match marked Musiala’s first start in three months, making the injury all the more heartbreaking for Bayern.
Despite limited appearances, he has already scored three goals in the tournament, placing him among the top scorers—just one goal behind Ángel Di María, who recently confirmed his departure from European football.
Bayern Munich are now awaiting full medical evaluation to determine the extent of the injury and how long Musiala will be sidelined.
