The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress said on Wednesday that the Federal High Court ruling that dismissed all of its candidates for the 2023 general elections will neither scare or discourage them.
Recall on Tuesday, a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt presided over by Justice Emmanuel Obile invalidated the APC primary polls that produced candidates for all elective posts in the state.
Speaking to media in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, state APC Chairman, Chief Emeka Beke, advised party members not to be disheartened by what he referred to as a distraction, stating that the party was prepared to take over the state in 2023.
He did, however, say that the party had delayed its campaign, which had been scheduled for Friday. He further stated that the party was working hard to ensure that it is on the ballot for the election.
