The crisis within the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue state may have worsened, as key members of the party from the Benue South Senatorial District who were recently nominated to the party’s Governorship Campaign Council have rejected the nomination.
The G-9 Benue South Progressives Forum, in a statement issued yesterday by its Publicity Secretary/Public Relations Officer, Akor Ikwuoche, stated that its members’ choice to decline the appointments was made to protect the purity of their fundamental convictions.
They were eager to stress, however, that they would remain party members while refusing the appointments.
