Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to apologize to Nigerians for its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s divisive and provocative statements.
Wike stated in Port Harcourt on Monday, just after coming from Spain, that while he questioned Atiku making such a remark at such a crucial time in the nation’s history, the presidential candidate’s attitude would validate his struggle for equity, justice, and fairness in the PDP.
He urged that the party must confront the matter and appeal to Nigerians immediately, or the party will be perceived as lacking in fairness and equity.
