The Rapid Response Squad and the Lagos Task Force will conduct a patrol of Lagos ahead of Saturday’s Independence Day and planned political rallies throughout the state.
Some police officers were seen at the Lekki Tollgate, a location where the Federal High Court in Lagos had ordered supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi not to congregate.
The RRS said in a tweet:
