With only 48 hours until President Muhammadu Buhari’s presentation of the 2023 Appropriation Bill to the joint sitting of the National Assembly, the Presidency indicated yesterday that the plan might still be changed tomorrow to accommodate views that may have been ignored.
This was disclosed by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, while briefing State House media on the outcome of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting presided over by President Buhari at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Adesina stated that the budget plan was the only issue for review by the council, allowing members to provide feedback.
He confirmed that if the need arose, the proposal could be altered to accommodate essential inputs, and he added that the budget ideas had been thoroughly considered, though he was reluctant to provide details.
When asked about the debt profile, the presidential adviser stated it was one of the realities in the package.
