Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, submitted a 330 billion allocation bill for 2023 to the State House of Assembly on Thursday, titled the Quantum Infinitum Budget.
According to Ayade, 130 billion naira will be spent on recurring expenses, while 200 billion naira would be spent on capital expenses.
Governor Ayade stated that the 2023 budget is primarily concerned with the people.
According to him, the budget, which will prioritize further agro-industrialization, would also see to the completion of all outstanding projects.
The 130 billion represents 39% of the total and will cover wages, bonuses, and other expenses, while the 200 billion represents 61% of the total and will be used to finish all pending projects.
